Passport

Before traveling abroad, it’s important to make sure your passport is valid and up-to-date. Many countries will not allow you to enter with a passport that expires within 6 months.

If you need assistance making an appointment to get or renew a passport, please fill out this form and a member of our staff will reach out.

Current Passport Processing Times:

  • Standard: 4-6 weeks
  • Expedited: 2-3 weeks

     

Note: There is a $60 fee for expedited passport processing. Processing times only include the time your passport is at an agency or center. It may take up to 2 additional weeks to receive a passport after it is printed.

The State Department offers a limited number of options for even faster processing in urgent and life-or-death situations. Visit the State Department website HERE for more details.

Social Security

Many Delawareans rely on Social Security, which can provide a vital source of income for individuals who are retired or have a disability. As funding cuts and staffing reductions continue to impact service at the Social Security Administration, our team will make every effort to provide you with up-to-date information on the status of your local office.

Medicare and Medicaid

Medicare provides health insurance for people 65 and older. Some individuals who have a disability may be eligible for Medicare before they turn 65.

Medicaid provides health coverage to low-income people and is one of the largest payers for health care in the United States.

Enrollees should also receive a letter notifying them of their acceptance, along with a Medicare card to accepted applicants.
